General assembly in München

On the occasion of the big wine festival "Weinwelt München" in the Olympic stadium eight national women and wine associations from Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain Switzerland and came to their 4th congress to Bavaria. At the official opening of the event the women presented their wines to the highly interested Munich public.

The next day the hosting German association "Vinissima - Frauen und Wein e.V." invited to the General assembly at "Feinkost Käfer". One of the aims of the just three years old federation "International Associated Women in Wine" is to become an international network and so to intensify the exchange between the women and wine associations from all over the world.

With great pleasure the president Sonia Prince de Galimberti (Spain), confirmed officially the new membership of the Italian association " Le Donne del Vino" which has 600 members in Italy. Two other associations will be full members as of January 2006: the Hungarian " Tokaj Women and Wine" and " Amigas do Vinho Brasil" from Brasil - which is the first step overseas.
