November 2007 The International Associated Women in Wine held its 6th General Assembly in Meran (ITALY) on the invitation of Le Donne del Vino parallel to the Merano Wine Festival, on November 9th, 2007. 17 members from 8 associations out of 7 countries attended the assembly. During the assembly several matters were discussed and decisions were made regarding the future steps that the IAWIW need to take to further enhance and achieve the goals of the federation. Since the official language of the wine world is French the current web site of the Federation www.iawiw.com will be upgraded including French and English as options. Every three months a newsletter will be issued for all members and will also be available on the website. The News letter aims from the one hand to keep all members informed of the activities run by each member association, and from the other hand it will serve as a communication tool bringing us closer to the world wine sector (Country associations / Federations, wineries, wine writers, press etc). The 7th General Assembly and 6th Conference will be hosted by les Artisanes de la Vigne et du Vin of Switzerland, and is scheduled to take place in Geneva Switzerland from the 27th to the 29th of June 2008. The topic of the conference will be "Women as Wine Consumers & Wine Buyers from Around the World" This topic was the initiative of the association Greek Women of Wine. The aims of this research :
